The Project

This year, the students will work on iconic streetwear pieces that are part of streetwear fashion history. They have been given a vintage or second hand garment such as leather jackets, plaid shirts, trench coats and denim items. The aim is to re-work and re-invent the piece into a new updated garment that fits with Volcom’s style and target market.

With a starting point of an iconic streetwear piece, what can be created if the students are given a free reign? We want to see what the emerging fashion designers and up and coming fashion industry can do with these iconic garments.
