Volcom SEED

All good things must come to an end and here we are with the last blog from me!

Thursday night started with 'SEED' Volcom Dollar money which was exchanged for drinks, hidden in a Volcom purse given at the entrance; decorated with a collage of the students work. The stark white Vinyl Factory was buzzing with excitement as the guests viewed the designers work and the Designers themselves looked on as they were eagerly photographed and interviewed.

For me it was a rare opportunity to applaud and congratulate the raw talent in all of my course mates and for others to recognise all of the hard work we dedicated to this project as their work was the center of attention!

A static exhibition of students work saw pieces hung from the ceiling on Volcom hangers finished with 3D Volcom stones above each embossed with designers names and examples of sketchbook work. This gave onlookers the chance to interact with the work and to our dismay examine our sewing!!

A further set of pieces were styled by the designers and then photographed on a live photoshoot mixed in with sketchbook examples which was screened out for all to see on large screens ? again a fantastic and original way to showcase the work.

Volcom has been a very supportive brand and I'd like to thank them for all of their hard work in putting the event together to showcase all of our work in such a unique way.
